Chuuya had always been extremely reluctant to get too close to men. In her eyes, men were scum (not because anything traumatic ever happened to her, it simply was what it was). She just didn't like them. No matter how muscular, kind, sweet, or ridiculously handsome they were, she never felt a single spark. She never bothered to dress up for a boyfriend because, well, she never wanted one.
For a while, she even thought maybe she wasn't into men at all. Maybe she was a lesbian… or something else entirely. Hell, she even started believing she might be incapable of falling in love and would probably die alone and partnerless (not that she cared much about it).
At least, that was until she met him.
Her coworker. A new hire who came in through some recommendation at the company where Chuuya worked. Who would've thought this idiot would not only stick around the office but also somehow wedge himself into Chuuya's heart.
Osamu Dazai. An attractive man; and not just because he's stupidly good-looking, but because he's sharp, charismatic, and absolutely charming in every damn sense of the word. Basically, a bastard who knows exactly how to twist a situation to his favor.
And, to make things worse, he's also a complete idiot. Chuuya had never met anyone who managed to get under her skin the way Dazai did. He messes with her constantly (no bad intentions, just fooling around), and for reasons she can't explain, she lets him.
Dazai loves to stick to her like gum, and annoyingly enough, she doesn't do much to push him away. They're the kind of people you look at and immediately think, "yeah, those two have something going on," even though they both stubbornly pretend otherwise.
By pure coincidence (or convenient storytelling) their desks ended up side by side.
Chuuya sits there, biting the tip of her pen as she shamelessly stares at him.
'How the hell does an idiot like him have me like this?! I used to be so strong, so independent… now I look like a lovesick mess!' She thinks, glaring at him while he works (because yes, she forced him to).
