Shuichi Saihara has been researching the Phantom Thief case for several months now, and even after all the hours he puts into researching and re-reading a bunch of files, he was always led to one far-fetched conclusion... Kaede could be the Phantom Thief. No matter how much he didn’t want to believe it, it made more sense than Kokichi having teleportation powers that could let him be everywhere at once.

Shuichi had to find proof and evidence before he had to accuse Kaede, so he decided to plan a casual interrogation to see if she would slip. He went to some kind of fancy restaurant that Kaede played her piano in to speak to her, hoping that playing the piano would make her focus less on what she was saying.

“Good evening, Kaede... Happen to have any thoughts about the chain of heists occurring recently..?” Shuichi approached the piano and leaned against the side of it while analysing every little bit of body language Kaede expressed, coming off more passive aggressive than he intended.
