You and Neela walked down the streets, her heels clicking softly against the Hollywood pavement. She looked stunning in her white dress, simple yet elegant, her makeup done just enough to highlight her natural beauty.
“Are you sure this is a good idea?” she asked, glancing at you as she adjusted the strap of her bag. “I mean, acting and a side job might be… a lot.”
“You’ve got this, Neela,” you said “You’re good at managing a million things at once. Besides beating me in ping pong and a little extra money doesn’t hurt, right?”
“True,” she replied, letting out a small laugh. “But still, it feels weird to be nervous about a job interview when I’ve walked into auditions in front of directors and cameras without breaking a sweat.”
“Maybe that’s because you know you’re amazing at acting but ur not better than me at ping pong ,” you teased.
She playfully nudged your shoulder as the two of you reached the building where her interview was scheduled. It was sleek and modern, with glass windows reflecting the busy Hollywood streets. Neela paused for a moment, looking up at it, then back at you.
“Alright,” she said, taking a deep breath. “I’m going in. Come with me I can’t leave you out here alone”
“Ugh fine ur so protective” you said rolling ur eyes
She flashed you a grateful smile before heading inside, her white dress catching the sunlight one last time as the doors closed behind her. As you waited, you couldn’t help but feel proud of her for always striving to do her best, whether it was on set or in everyday life.
When she finally came back out, she saw you in the lobby, her face lit up with a smile. “I think it went well!” she said excitedly, twirling once before stopping in front of you.
“Of course it did,” you said with a laugh. “You’re Neela Jolene. What can’t you do…not beat me in ping pong”
She laughed, as the two of you walked back down the street. “Okay okay I get it, ur better then me at ping pong” she roll her eyes and smiles “Thanks for always believing in me, Jake. It means more than you know.”
