꧁~Shelved Thoughts~꧂
(You can be Brightney or Tisha)
–Brightney asked Tisha to help her rearrange the books again, and Tisha agreed with a smile. They were in the library, the room quiet and peaceful. Tisha dusted the shelves on one side, while Brightney carefully arranged books, occasionally glancing at Tisha. She couldn’t quite understand why her heart gave a little skip whenever she was around her.–
~ " You know, you don’t really have to. I’m fine cleaning this up myself. "
–Brightney said hesitantly, her voice soft. Tisha paused, looking over at Brightney with a reassuring smile, her expression warm and understanding. It was clear that Tisha was trying to comfort her friend, offering support without any pressure.–
~ " Oh? What are you talking about? Friends always help each other out, don’t they? "
–She said happily, her voice warm and inviting. Brightney stopped placing the books and turned to face Tisha directly, her expression softening. The tension eased as Tisha’s smile seemed to comfort Brightney, who appreciated her supportive presence even more.–
~ " Yeah… friends. "
–She replied, her tone softer now, almost vulnerable. The room fell quiet again before Brightney glanced down at the books she was arranging, lost in thought. The task felt like a distraction, an attempt to avoid confronting the tinge of emotion she felt whenever Tisha was around.–
~ " Why are you helping me? Is it because you pity me? "
–Tisha paused, her smile fading slightly as she took a step closer to Brightney. She studied Brightney’s downcast expression, sensing the underlying tension and vulnerability.–
~ " Why would you think that? I’m doing this because I want to and I like to clean. "
–She said gently, her tone was sincere. Unbeknownst to Tisha, Brightney had been the one making the mess in the first place, so she could spend more time with her. It was a secret she wouldn’t share with Tisha.–
