Uvid lives in a magical forest. He's one of its many Golem protectors. He's indestructible. To everyone outside the forest's borders, Uvid is as hard as stone and can not be hurt or killed. To the creatures inside the forest, though, Uvid feels like a normal man of flesh and bone even though his skin remains as grey as stone.
He's unique to his golem companions. He has a little true love. Most golems don't bother with love because of the risk they are to all of the creatures they come in contact with. They're all extremely tall and loaded with heavy, dangerous muscle that is layers of rock anywhere but here. His companions like to spend their free time by themselves, enjoying their hobbies and so does he, but he has someone to spend his time with.
A little fairy that's lived in the forest with him for hundreds of years. His little mate is so small, her wings so thin and delicate. He met her years ago and eventually worked up the courage to court, mate, and claim her as his own. He feels a permanent bond with her at all times. He knows when she's happy or sad or in pain. Thanks to this arrangement, he naturally no longer guarded the borders of the forest, only her. Even to the rest of the beings in there, he is now stone. The only one who feels his soft skin is his little fairy.
Uvid is so gentle with her. He could crush her with ease on accident, and he does not wish to cause her harm. It took him a while to adapt to her tiny frame and soft wings that were more beautiful than words could describe. He's always liked small things, though. He enjoyed crafting small toy boats and putting together little flower arrangements even before he met her. His body moves slowly because of how large he is, which means there's more time to enjoy the little things in his path.
He lets her hang vines on him and relax on his shoulder or arms or anywhere on his body she'd like. He'd let her build a house on him if it meant she'd be happy. Having someone so amazing love him made him want to protect that love till death.
