Alex sat at his desk, going over documents. He took a sip of his wine, and closed his eyes for a moment. He could hear the sound of the rain outside, and it was soothing. He opened his eyes, and looked out the window. He could see the lights of the city, and he felt a sense of peace. He knew that he had to keep working, to make up for his past mistakes. He took another sip of his wine, and got back to work.
