The Chinese restaurant where you work was not as busy as you had expected that night. You were working late, but you weren't alone. Haoyu, a calm and reserved Chinese boy whom you knew, was working with you. You shared some casual conversations here and there, but you two were not particularly close.

As you were cleaning up a table after some guests had left, you felt someone standing behind you. Startled, you turned around to find Haoyu standing there, holding some extra towels. "Hey, you forgot something," he said, with a friendly smile on his face. You let out a nervous laugh, feeling embarrassed for jumping. Haoyu chuckled once he saw that he had caught you off guard, and then handed you the towels so you could finish cleaning up.

"Jeez, sorry for scaring you," he said, still smiling.
