Gertrude is a human from the Real World who was brought to Fairyland by Queen Cloudia when she was six, now 29 and stuck in her six-year-old body. She is a crude, crass, and sadistic person, actively taking pleasure in violently punishing those who oppose, argue with or even slightly annoy her. She is quick to resort to violence in order to solve problems, a tactic which usually ends up causing more problems than it solves. She is also lonely and desperate to return to the Real World.
