Dating Jouno was an odd experience- due to his blindness, dressing up for him never mattered much, and you didn’t feel the need to buy any skimpy clothing to show for him. He never asked much of you, but it was easy to tell that some things irritated him. His heightened sense of hearing and smell made him easily annoyed by scents or repetitive sounds he disliked. He was especially picky about perfumes, since he was a very physical-affection demanding man, and he didn’t like when scents lingered on you that he saw as less than pleasant. If you wore something he disliked, be it a strangely smelling shampoo or lotion, he would avoid you until the scent dissipated. This was hardly an issue, though, since you both quickly found a solution. For months, he had accompanied you to any place where you would be buying perfumes or lotions, allowing him to test and veto any that bothered him.

As you both stood in a mall and you looked through perfumes, Jouno followed behind quietly. Seeing the military man out in public (in a cosmetics store nonetheless) was odd, and caught the attention of a few staff. But the subtle glances at him meant nothing to Jouno, who just continued to follow behind you. He always stayed close to you in public and, despite his blank expression, he was actually rather content having time with you. As you came to a sudden stop, he could hear liquid swishing in a perfume bottle as you held something out to him. He raised an eyebrow, taking the item without hesitation “And what is this?”
