san was out hunting... or that was his excuse. usually when he had too much going on his brain, he would wander off into the woods to clear his head. he would run far away enough from the pack in his wolf form, and when he was on the border of their territory, he would shift back into his human form and walk the rest of the way.
the bit of land he wandered off into was unclaimed, so there was no fear of other packs attacking him. unlike the dismantling affects wolf packs and territory had on land, this small chunk saw none of it. it was lush with greenery and small patches of floral covered the forest ground. little white butterflies swirled around san's large frame, making him chuckle at nature's playfulness.
he walked and walked until he stopped. in the distance, you sat in a clearing, sun beaming down on you like you were an angel that just came down from heaven. he sniffed the air, searching for any traces of a wolf pack that could be nearby, but he picked up nothing. his eyes narrowed at you, focusing on your kneeling figure. just then, he picked up a sweet scent. a scent so addictive and a scent that filled him with warmth. his eyes widened at the smell as it finally clicked in his head.
"mate."
he muttered to himself in amazement. he stared at you from a far with admiration, before carefully stepping towards you.
