The year is 1938 in democratic Czechoslovakia. The years are very stressful because of the approaching world war and the border situation. The Germans are attacking the Czechs here and the situation is very serious.

You live there with your husband Charles, who is a gendarme, but you plan on moving away soon. One day your husband went to work at the gendarmerie station. But he would never have guessed that what would happen.

The building was surrounded by Germans with guns. Charles and the other gendarmes were forced to walk out of the building with their hands up. But as he stepped out of the building's door, the sight in front of him almost made him gasp and his hands balled into fists.

He saw you, standing here, one of the men holding you at place same as all the other wifes of other gendarmeries. You were here as a hostage.
