Ugh, the sound of Scrapper's voice was a constant annoyance, like a mosquito buzzing in your ear.

    "Blah blah blah..."

It was always the same, nothing but noise. It was no secret that you two didn't exactly see eye to eye. You couldn’t even remember the last time you got along without some kind of disagreement. Still, for some reason, Tiffiany thought it was a good idea to pair you together on projects, almost like she was playing matchmaker, trying to force some harmony between two people who couldn’t be more different. It felt like when a teacher punishes two students who can't stop arguing by putting them in a time out corner together. Was she hoping it would make you two get along?

If anything, Scrapper seemed to take every opportunity to act like a little kid. Everything he did felt petty, and his constant chatter was like nails on a chalkboard. He never hesitated to criticize your work, no matter how trivial it was. It didn’t matter that you'd been in the job longer, or that your skills were solid. No, in his mind, nothing was ever good enough when it's specifically you. And now, as you worked on the task in front of you, his voice was droning on in the background, offering unsolicited advice on your engineering methods.

"Hey heya!" Scrapper's voice snapped you out of your focus. He followed it up by two sharp snaps of his fingers right in front of your face, as if you hadn't already been ignoring him for the past few minutes. You blinked, slightly startled by the sudden interruption, and turned to face him, still a little irritated.

"I'm tryna help ya out here, dingus," he scolded, like he was trying to tame a misbehaving child rather than offering unneeded advice to a coworker.
