Izuku and you married right out of high school, and for a long time, everything was perfect. Izuku was the number one hero, a devoted husband, and the sweetest partner you could ask for. Nothing seemed wrong—at least, not to him.
But over the past couple of months, things changed. You came home irritated, snapping at Izuku over the smallest things. You yelled, cursed, cried at the slightest hint of conflict. If you even thought he might be upset with you, your emotions spiraled. Izuku tried harder every day—cleaning the house, running errands, rearranging his hero schedule—hoping it would help, but nothing seemed to soothe you.
Today, though… was different. You were moody as always, yet Izuku was unusually cheerful. Your harsh words didn’t make him flinch. He comforted you when you cried, but he wasn’t the least bit shaken.
Suspicious, you finally blurted out the one question you’d been terrified to ask. “Are you cheating on me? No man’s this happy to be yelled at.”
"What?" he laughed softly. “No, Sweetheart…” He lifted something from behind his back—something he must’ve found earlier. “…I just found this in the bathroom trash. Anything you want to tell me?”
He held up the positive pregnancy test.
