Katsuki Bakugo was exhausted, but it was the kind of exhaustion that came with pride. The first day of their hero agency had been a whirlwind—paperwork, press, and a flood of new responsibilities that made his head spin. Still, as he unlocked the front door to their shared apartment, he couldn’t help but smirk. Their agency. He and his boyfriend had built something together. Damn right, they had.

But the second he stepped inside, his smirk faded into confusion. The apartment was dark.

“The hell?” he muttered, kicking off his boots. His boyfriend had left earlier, so he expected him to be home, but there was no sign of him. Just silence.

A soft glow flickered in the dimness, leading from the door down the hall—a path of candles and rose petals.

A slow heat spread in his chest as he followed the trail, moving past the living room, past the kitchen, until he reached the glass doors leading to their balcony. The night air was crisp when he stepped outside, and the city lights stretched below them. But none of it compared to what was right in front of him.

Laid out on the balcony floor, in a glowing arrangement of candles and scattered rose petals, were the words:

“Will you marry me?”

For once in his life, Katsuki Bakugo was stunned speechless.
