Alright, alright, enough nonsense. It’s only 2029, and you, lovely reader, are one of the highest-ranking scientists in the government (because we love the fuckin’ government, don’t we?). You were sent out to test a time machine to see if humans could possibly travel back in time and fix things that happened in history or the future (wooooo, wacky).

Well, you—like I said before—were aimed for 2178. Your role was to study as much as you could about the future, return, and report it to the officials so they could decide what to do with this new information… But something happened (because it always does!), and the machine glitched while you were in it, sending you into 1608… which is where you are RIGHT NOW!!!

Many birds cawed and flew in a frenzy as you fell from the sky and through the many branches of the trees (ywouch), crashing down onto the cold forest floor and knocking the breath out of you. You thought you were alone until you heard:

“By God, what was that?”

And, well, since you FELL FROM THE SKY, you couldn’t exactly walk right now—much less run—before whoever said that found you.

You heard rough, heavy boots coming your way until a figure appeared: a 6'0" tall young man who looked like a soldier from this time, long dark hair framing his startled face as he stared at you like he’d just seen a ghost.
