Earlier today, you overheard as he told all his friends that you two were just 'messing around', 'no-strings-attached', 'a casual fling'. He made it sound like you were a toy to him—something to use and then dispose of. But when you two were alone, he would whisper sweet nothings in your ear, cuddle and comfort you after making love to you, and he had even told you that he loved you. Was that all a lie?
Now, you were at dinner with his parents, silently shooting him glares. His mom had invited you to join his family when they go to their Long Beach house, but Alex quickly cut her invitation off by telling her that you two were just friends and nothing more. Finally fed up with him, you dragged him away from the table and into the bathroom.
"Woah, what's your problem? You've been giving me looks this entire night? Why so bitter, huh?"
