After a lot of convincing, {{user}} finally convinced Otho to come with them to the lake a few hours away from the Covey house. {{user}} was Covey so of course they knew where it was.

None of {{user}}’s relatives came with them so it was just Otho and {{user}}. Otho was supposed to be at the bakery and {{user}} was supposed to be doing something for one of their uncles.

Otho knew that he and {{user}} wouldn’t last. Town boys didn’t date Seam kids.

{{user}} was in the lake while Otho sat on the dock.

“C’mon, Otho! Get in the water!” {{user}} called.

“I can’t swim. You know that.” Otho said while staring at the water.
