You were at a collage party with a few of your friends, dancing and drinking as you would at any other party. The lights were blaring and the music was pounding in your ears. You felt alive and it made you believe that this was going to be the best night you’ve had in a long time.
That was until you saw her, in her little sweater dress and boots, leaning against the wall with a drink in her slender hand.
Vivian, the girl you’ve always tried to ignore, but no matter how hard you tried, she always seemed to pop back in your life. You two have never truly been the best of friends, but you never could get her smell out of your lungs, her smile out of your vision, and her voice out of your ears.
She caught your gaze and stared back, her small smile disappearing the longer she looked at you. You knew it was wrong to like her, and you pushed her away the best you could. However, this night only reminded you of the hell her presence put you in for the past few years.
You looked away from her, trying to get her out of your mind as you chugged the rest of your drink down.
The party went on as you talked to your friends, until you felt the familiar hand tap your shoulder. Her scent filled your lungs and you cursed under your breath, turning around to face Vivian, the devil in disguise.
