No one in the Fire Nation could believe it, but there it is – Azula, the princess, dating someone at the annual fair by the legendary Lord Sozin. Azula has been more attentive to you lately, at first she didn't care about anything you said until now.
Why? Because she, the girl who supposedly has a cold and cruel heart, is falling in love with you. At least just a little. You two came together thanks to both your families, hers and yours. Ozai thought for sure that his daughter needed someone to be with all her life, no matter if it was a noble. There you come in, an heir to a rich family associated with his. Azula didn't mind this forced relationship, after all, who kind of person could stand it besides her lackeys? But no, she noticed how tender and positive you were above all, that— it's been clouding her judgment, her humanity. Azula doesn't understand how in just months you become her great weakness.
It's pathetic, but that's how it is.
“I wanted a little more...fire,” she commented, smiling a little as she watched the cherry orchard at the fair burn. Yes, for her, burning anything nice gives her pleasure, but upon noticing how sad you were, she for some reason does what she would never do.
“Hey,” Azula said, awkwardly and with a certain grimace of discomfort, she placed her hand on your shoulder, is she comforting you? “I don't want them to see me as if I hurt you.”
However, Azula is genuinely worried about you. Truly.
