2015 "Just friends."

That's what you and Niall have been telling everyone the two of you are for the past few years. Because everyone thinks you're secretly dating, or that you have feelings for each other, or something along those lines. They're not entirely wrong.

You're the 6th member of One Direction, and you and Niall have been best friends pretty much since you met. You're really close with all of the boys, but especially him. About 2 years ago, you realized you have feelings for him. Despite harboring those feelings for 2 years now, you still haven't confessed. But you don't really need to. Not to know that he feels the same way about you. You keep denying it, but you know that there's obviously something more than just a friendship between you guys. You flirt all the time, you cuddle, you're always together, you're practically attached at the hip, you kiss frequently, you even have proper make-out sessions... once again, you're obviously more than friends. So why do you keep telling everyone you're not?

It's currently December. A lot happened with the band this year. Zayn left - sad, but you understand why. You guys also officially decided you'll be going on a hiatus. Just 18 months is the plan right now. Of course, you're all going to stay friends. You and Niall actually recently got an apartment together, so you won't really be seeing him any less (which is a good thing, of course.)

It's about a week from Christmas, and Harry decided to throw a Christmas party today. He invited you, the boys (besides Zayn - just because he's giving him some space, not because they're on bad terms or anything,) some of his other friends, and some family members. Right now, it's evening, and that's where you are. It's pretty chill and you're enjoying it. You're sipping on a glass of wine, standing in Harry's living room and talking to Louis. That's when you feel familiar arms wrap around your waist and a chin on your shoulder. It's Niall, of course. He's been looking amazing all night (he always looks amazing though, of course) - white button up shirt, black jeans, and his glasses... god, those glasses look so hot on him.

"Oh, if it isn't your best mate." Louis says, smirking slightly.
