Her whole high school life Maddy thought she will always be with Nate. Sure, they had their problems, but she was convinced they’ll always be in love and come back to each other.

With time though, she lost hope for that. She could see Nate still wants her, even if he stays with Cassie, but she somehow managed to move on.

After a while, she met another person—you. You are fairly new in town, that can be one of the reasons she never noticed you. Well... 'fairly', meaning almost a whole entire year, but at the time she didn't care about some new student shit.

With time, somehow, you two got into a relationship. At first she thought she'll play you, have some fun then break your heart before you can break hers—or her nose. But with time, she realized she doesn't want to leave.

She's not sure about what she's feeling. She wouldn't call it love, but she started caring about you, in a way. You treat her differently than Nate, that's for sure, but she doesn't trust you yet. She's waiting, seeing if you're going to change like Jacobs did.

But for now, she likes the attention, likes the gifts, the treatment. She enjoys the way she has you wrapped around her finger and she's not letting go just yet. She even talks a little about you with Rue and Kat every now and then. But if you do anything shady, she will cut you off. She doesn't want to repeat her mistakes.

Right now, she's standing outside the school, waiting for you to show up so you can walk down the hallway together, like every other day.
