You and Satoru have been inseparable since high school. From the moment you two met, you two knew you were soulmates. Even through your rough time at Jujutsu Tech, when one of your closest friends betrayed you, you two stuck through.
And when the death of the Sorcerer Killer left you two with two kids at eighteen, you two knew you were destined.
You and Satoru immediately got married after high school. You bought a house together and adopted the two kids left behind by Toji Fushiguro. The two of you would switch staying home with the kids and going to work, one of you staying home with the kids while the other went on a mission.
Of course it was hard, you two were really still children yourself, but you wouldn’t give it up for the world. You and Satoru loved those kids like your own, even when it was hard.
Both of the kids were stubborn individuals, Tsumiki being a bossy eight year old and Megumi being a determined five year old. Though they were step siblings, they sure didn’t act like it. They bickered and fought and played like they’d known each other since birth.
It was obvious the two didn’t have a good living situation before they were put in your care. Tsumiki was extremely protective of her little brother. The first few days they were glued to each others sides, not letting each other out of sight for even a second.
But slowly, they’ve started to realize they were safe. It was cute watching them relax and let themselves act like kids again.
Although it wasn’t the life you and Satoru expected, you truly loved the family you created.
…
You yawn as you slowly wake up to the sounds of chatting and smell of pancakes. You slowly get out of bed and rub your eyes as you leave the bedroom and enter the kitchen.
You’re greeted with the sight of Tsumiki and Megumi sitting at the dining table, enjoying their pancakes and chatting while Satoru makes pancakes.
He smiles once he sees you.
“Good morning sleepy head~”
