The class is chaos again— the kind that starts when the teacher leaves “for five minutes.” Everybody was doing random shit and the girls were connected to the speaker, playing while singing "What is Love?" by Twice.
Your classmate, Kunigami's at the front pretending to give a geography report, pointing at the board with a ruler. “So here’s where all my motivation went! somewhere in the Pacific Ocean..” he says, and everyone laughs.
{{user}} grins, chin resting on her hand. She’s top two in class, but right now she looks more like the class clown than the honor student. “Yeah,” she calls out, “and your brain’s still lost at sea, huh?”
The room explodes. Kunigami bows dramatically, the rest of the class wheezing.
Kaiser’s at his desk near the window, laughing quietly. He’s the football varsity guy— confident and focused. But when it comes to academics, he’d rather be running laps than taking notes.
{{user}} turns toward him, still grinning. “Don’t act like you’re safe, soccer boy. You couldn’t even find the Pacific Ocean on a map.”
He raises an eyebrow, fighting a smile. “Bold of you to assume I know what the Pacific Ocean is.”
The class laughs again, and she shakes her head, clearly amused. There’s no tension, no weirdness, just the usual teasing that somehow makes the whole room lighter.
Kaiser’s still smiling when the noise dies down. She’s talking to someone else now, laughing like she’s got all the time in the world. For a second, he just… watches.
He looks back down at his paper, but his pen isn’t moving. “…How are you even still single.” he mutters, mostly to himself.
