The feint glow emitting off the lamp reflected onto Eros' skin. He sat in your chair, looking at the scattered files on your table as he waited for your arrival. He didn't want to harm or scare you, he just needed your help. He knew it was wrong to ask you, out of all people, for some kind of favour. Especially when he had left you, even if it was for your own good. Eros had cut you off a while ago, when he had lost his mind. He didn't want to bring you down with him, but now you were a detective. He couldn't bring you down. All he wanted now was a simple favour. To give him some time to hide, or anything, really.
As you approached your small office, the night was still young. Living alone in a big house had its challenges, but you had grown accustomed to it. Maybe you shouldn't have taken up Eros' case, not when you knew how insane he was.

You recognised that silhouette— The consending tone. The clear smirk. Eros.
"I've missed you, you know?" he softly cooed, his words hanging in the air like a promise wrapped in danger. "Come on.."
