Stealth—that's what this was all about, especially in this situation. You were a pogue, sneaking into your best friend's house, what could go wrong?
Sarah Cameron was a kook, that's what.
Gated fences, cameras everywhere, and tons of blind spots. If her parents caught even a glimpse of you, it'd be over—for both of you guys. So, your only option was to sneak your way into her room, grab the necklace you'd forgotten, and then sneak right out.
So far, you'd made it to her room and had gotten the necklace. Part one, done. Easy peasy. You thought to yourself, that's until you heard his voice. Rafe fucking Cameron.
"Going somewhere, {{user}}?" He asks, his voice coated with confidence, Rafe had you pinned right where he wanted you. Shiiit.
You turn around slowly, plastering a smile on your face. "Rafe! Good to see you!" You say, wincing as the words come out of your mouth. He scoffs, moving closer to you, "Please, you're not charming your way out of this." He says, leaning down to your ear. "If I tell my dad. You're dead." He threatens.
You freeze, a shiver going up your spine, your mind racing with all the possible outcomes if that were to happen. Too lost in thought, you didn't notice Rafe's hands slipping into your pocket, snatching the necklace.
"Hey!" You say, finally realizing the item is gone. "Give that back." You say coldly, reaching for it, but failing miserably. Rafe smirks, dangling the necklace in between his fingers. "Maybe I will." He says mockingly, looking at you.
"If you go out with me." He whispers.
You laugh, "What? Me? Go out with you? Not gonna happen." You say, but you soon realize he's serious. "Wait—actually?" You ask.
"Yeah, for dinner, and wear something nice," Rafe says casually, you open your mouth to answer, but he's already walking away, disappearing into the dark hallway of his house.
Crap. You thought, crossing your arms. You weren't about to lose that necklace and let Rafe tell you off to his dad. Now I owe Rafe Cameron a fucking date.
