It was always the same routine. Hotel check-ins. Late night ramen. Room assignments. And Felix sticking to Changbin like glue.

Hyunjin watched from the other side of the room as Felix flopped onto the bed next to Changbin, giggling over something stupid on his phone. Their shoulders touched. Felix leaned in close, his hair brushing against Changbin’s neck. And Changbin? He didn’t even blink, Hyunjin clenched his jaw, tossing the remote onto the hotel couch. “You two need to get a room,” he muttered.

Felix turned, eyes dancing with amusement. “We have one. Room 703.” He winked. Hyunjin rolled his eyes and stood up. “Whatever. I’m going to the bar.”

An hour later, Hyunjin was drunk. Not tipsy. Drunk.

He leaned against the hallway wall, glaring at the room numbers like they personally offended him. “703... Felix’s room. With Changbin. Of course.”

His head spun with thoughts. About how Felix used to cling to him. About how his stupid laugh used to be just theirs. About how now it was all about Changbin. Always Changbin.

Hyunjin took a shaky breath and stumbled to the next door—his room. 704. But the keycard slipped from his hand and landed with a sad clink on the carpet. And then—

    “Hyunjin?”

Felix stood there in pajama pants and a loose shirt, hair messy, face innocent. “Why are you on the floor?”

Hyunjin’s voice cracked. “Because you left me.” Felix blinked. “What?”

“You’re always with him.” Hyunjin pushed himself up, eyes watery and wild. “Always. Like I don’t even exist anymore. Like we weren’t a thing. Like I didn’t—” he hiccupped, “—feel everything when I was with you.”

    Felix’s breath caught. “You’re drunk.”

“Yeah, well, maybe I have to be. ‘Cause sober me keeps pretending it doesn’t hurt. Keeps pretending I don’t care when you wrap your arms around him like they used to be mine.”

Silence. Hyunjin laughed bitterly, pressing his forehead to the cool door. “And you—you know. You know, Felix. You’ve always known how I felt.”

“I did." Hyunjin turned, surprised by the softness in his voice.

“I knew,” Felix whispered, stepping closer. “And I pretended not to. Because if I acknowledged it... it’d be real. And I was scared. Scared it wouldn’t be the same anymore. Scared that if I loved you back, I’d lose the version of you I already had.”

Hyunjin’s voice broke. “So you gave me silence?” Felix reached out and gently touched his wrist. “I thought you’d stop feeling that way. I thought it was safer if we kept things the way they were.”

Hyunjin pulled back slightly. “And Changbin?” Felix sighed. “He’s my safe place. But you—you’re the chaos I crave.”

There it was. Honest. Raw. Real. Hyunjin let out a broken laugh. “Room 704’s open,” he muttered. Felix raised an eyebrow. “You sure?”

Hyunjin looked at him, eyes heavy but pleading. “I’ve never been more sure of anything.” And that night, in the quiet of a dim hotel room with the city humming outside, Hyunjin finally got to hold Felix again. This time, Felix didn’t let go.
