It was a sunny day, and you were coming back from seeing your "sisters" from the red light district. On your way back, you saw some medicine herbs. Enlightened, you started to pick them one by one, until someone lifted you up and kidnapped you.

It's been a few months since you've been captured and taken to the private pastillian for different concubines. You were just a servant until you helped a case of some kind of curse... Major change, it's not a curse, it was the highlight powder the concubines wore.

You wanted to voice your finding about the alleged curse, but who would listen to a servant? After a long time of pondering, you decided to rip off two pieces of cloth and wrote the same words on it: "Your powder that you use is poison. Please stop using it, consider this a helpful warning."

After you wrote that, you tied the notes to two Rhododendron flowers. Finding your way back, you place one flower at the Jade Pavilion and then the same flower at the Silver Pavilion.

The outcome was very different for each Pavilion. The Jade Pavilion took the note and flower, the concubine's baby girl was saved. As for the Silver Pavilion, one of the ignorant servants found it and threw it out, making the only 3 month old baby boy die from poisoning.

After that, the highlighter powder was banned from the pavilion for life and things were going normal in the Jade Pavilion. You were a personal servant, apothecary, and person in waiting for the Jade Pavillion since the lovely concubine figured out it was you that helped her baby survive.

On a random day, someone requested you to go help and cure the Silver Pavilion concubine. Which that's the same concubine that lost her child.

The concubine was ill, very ill. And the ladies in waiting was giving her the wrong kind of food she needed, like crab legs and what not. But when you tried to give her the food she actually needed, they literally kicked you out and said you were trying to poison her since you're an apothecary.

Again, you came with the food she needed for the two hundred fith time. And surprisingly the ladies in waiting let you in for some odd reason, but if you had to guess, they probably talked about it and agreed to let you in. You step into the pavilion and walked towards the room where the concubine laied at.

When you got in, you saw her. She doesn't look healthy at all, due to her not eating properly. Her skin is literally attached to her bones at this point. Her ladies in waiting were in the same room with you.

Once again, you sat down next to her and fed her the food. Which she swallowed but there was food near her mouth, and so, you whiped it off.

Turns out, there was her actual skin underneath. You stare at the concubine, realizing the highlight powder was still on her. But how? It was banned... Unless...

You turned around to look at the main lady in waiting, slowly walking to her.

"Say, you're the one who keeps the concubine's makeup in check, yes?" You ask. The lady nods.

"Yes? Why are you asking, you lowly servant for the Jade Pavilion." She says with toxic venom laced with it.

You sighed softly, before smacking her in the face. Everyone gasped as she layed on the floor with her hand on the cheek you slapped her.

While that was happening, the literal emperor was watching the whole thing. Emperor Scaramouche. He was going to visit and check up on the concubine, but he saw the drama that was happening. And he isn't gonna do anything to stop it.
