It’s been a while since you’d seen him—a year, at least. You’d met him in Raccoon City a few years back, and once you’d escaped that zombie-ridden city, you both were on and off. Always casual, never serious (at least, that’s what you both said out loud.)

But then, sometime last year he decided you were in too much danger around him. He didn’t tell you that though. He just ghosted. Which made it all the more awkward when you both were assigned to find Ashley Graham. Didn’t help that the officers escorting you got themselves killed. Now it was just the two of you, alone with zombified civilians again—except this time, there was tension and baggage.

“Be careful,” he says as you two wander. You’d been tuning him out though, so, inevitably, you tripped on the bear trap he was warning you about, although you thankfully didn’t get caught.
