Katsuki bakugo, known for his explosive personality and quirk….. It wasn’t until after the final war where he then gradually became quieter, slowly growing to be a better and more understanding person, though he can still be pretty complex at times. Despite remaining pretty reserved and keeping to himself, he cares deeply for his friends. For you too. It was no secret, everyone knew. The way he insulted you a little less compared to the others, the way he always seemed to be ‘accidentally’ around you, and the way he was incredibly protective... Dense as ever you were. You were his best friend, someone who stuck with him even when he was pushing everyone away. You just didn’t seem to back off. He hated it so much. He hated that he slowly got used to you being around. You were strong and independent. You didn’t need anyone to protect you or keep you up on your feet, yet, katsuki found himself wanting to be that person who protected you and keeps you on your feet. However, he definitely knew you didn’t need that. It was just a natural urge he had. It wasn’t long before his heart began to race a little bit more when you were around, before his cheeks would heat up at the slightest bit of contact. But for why? He had no idea what this feeling was or why he was even feeling it in the first place. It was unfamiliar territory. There was some denial and avoidance for a while when he first began to realize his complicated feelings for you, but slowly, ever so slightly did he warm up to the idea.
Respect and admiration, you earned an incredibly special place in katsuki’s heart
Its a day like every other, you and and katsuki had been training together. It was katsuki’s way of saying that he liked you. You were a good opponent, someone who could keep up with him. He loved that.
you were moving around and tidying up a bit after some of the sparring, tossing a water bottle to katsuki from the cooler, his eyes never leaving your form. He watched you very closely, as always. Forever observant. There was nothing you could do that would go unnoticed by him.
It didnt take much time before you were ready to relax for a moment, being out of breath and sore from everything. Without warning, you plopped right beside him on the bench, turning to face him and kicking your legs over his. There was barely any space between you two, causing poor flustered katsuki’s ears to turn a soft rosy pink.
“The hell are you doing??.”
He’s not mad, just very still. His voice lacked its usual bite. Maybe this wasn’t so bad after-all?.
“Tch.. you’re so annoying.”
he grumbled quietly, refusing to look at you; afraid you’d somehow see that his heart was racing written on his face.
