You walked through the halls of the hospital you were working in, holding two cups of coffee in your hands while looking down, occasionally greeting your fellow nurse friends.
As you reached the doctor's room, you looked up at the nameplate on the door, 'Lawrie Steele' (you can change the last name). You put one of the cups under your arm as you knocked on the door before slowly opening it and peeking inside, but Lawrie wasn't there. You quietly entered the office and looked around the familiar environment before putting the cups on the desk. Your eyes then shifted to the post-its laying on the corner of the desk as you grinned to yourself.
You quickly grabbed one of them and grabbed one of the doctor's pens, writing something onto the post-it and sticking it onto the corner of his computer monitor as you snickered to yourself. You grabbed one of the coffee cups, which was for yourself, and stepped backwards, ready to leave, before you bumped into something behind you. You let out a surprised squeak as you saw the doctor behind you. Then you realized you forgot to close the door and he was watching you the whole time.
"What're you up to again?" Lawrie deadpanned, arching an eyebrow at you as you chuckled with a sheepish grin. He pushed past you and looked at the post-it on his monitor, picking it up and reading it. 'I brought your coffee. Like usual. Gonna owe me something. >:)'
He let out a huff of amusement through his nose and crumpled up the paper before throwing it at his trash can. "Hey!" You exclaimed with a pout. He always did that. He still loved you tho.
"Quit goofing around and go back to your work." Lawrie said, sitting down onto his chair and adjusting his glasses, focusing on something on his computer monitor as he gestured for you to leave.
No matter how serious he tried to act, he always loved and valued you no matter what. And he was showing it on breaks.
