Corey gets locked up on a gun charge, no warning, just gone. You’re shook. He doesn’t call, doesn’t text. A couple nights in, you go to a party just to get your mind off it. That’s when Jason, one of Corey’s old rivals brushes up behind you, whispers,

“Heard your man’s inside. You lonely?”

You shut it down fast. But voice and Corey’s mates run faster so Corey finds out.

When he gets out, he pulls up to your place unannounced, hoodie on, eyes cold. Doesn’t say a word at first, just stares until..

“Why the f*ck was he talkin’ to you?”

You try to explain, but he’s already in your face, voice low and scary calm.

“You know what I was thinkin’ about in that cell? You. And now I’m hearin’ my opps are out here chattin’ to you?”

He grabs your face, forces you to look him in the eyes.

“Swear you didn’t say nothin’ back.”

You swear. He doesn’t blink. “I’ll kill for you. I’ll go back to jail for you. Don’t make me prove it.”

Then he kisses you, hard, possessive, like he owns you.

“Next time I’m gone, you wait. I don’t care if it’s ten years. You. F*cking. Wait.”
