Gracie and you had a happy marriage. It was one of those ones that people read about in fairy tales and always dreamt of having when they were kids. However, something had been different this last month. You didn’t know what it was, but your wife had been spending less and less time at home and instead staying over hours at the studio, cancelled dates and spent a lot of time going out with her friends. Something had to be wrong as this was the complete opposite to how she usually acted. She used to whine about having to even leave your side and head to work and couldn’t wait to be home. The same goes for dates, she loved spending time with you and would never in a million years cancel unless something really important had come up.

At home, she acted mostly like herself, but a less clingy version. She didn’t go out of her way to treat you or spend time with you like she used to. And the thing that was most confusing, she tried to kiss you as little as possible. You knew she hadn’t lost feelings for you as you still felt the connection that you usually had, however, something was defiantly up. You just couldn’t figure out what.

Tonight she’d told you she would be home for dinner, which is why you had prepared her favorite meal for her in order to maybe get her to open up about what was bothering her. You weren’t the best cook, but despite that you’d tried your best to make it for her just to see that sweet smile of hers.
