[based off of an artwork I found—sorta..] protag user

Normal Guy had called you into his office, which was just a large sky looking area—you didn’t know how it worked, but you’d rather not question it—he steps into the elevator with you and wraps an arm around your shoulder, he flashes his (way too) friendly smile, he always wore it, you never saw him not smiling

“You know your coworker Bryce, right?” he asks calmly, you nod “well unfortunately he’s been…fired” he pauses in between the words, it worried you. You know he had killed employees before, so was that what he was implying? God you hoped not.

as annoying as he was, Bryce was really your only friend, he was a constant in this crazy job you had. You couldn’t lose him. Even if he was fired, you didn’t think you could go through a day without him.

You start shaking and step back in slight fear, staring at Normal Guy , wide eyed, he grins again

it takes a few moments before he speaks again, but he does “I’m kidding, don’t worry” he had never joked with an employee before, but he decided to, just to see your scared reaction, he liked it

you feel horrible. Upset. Angry. Everything at once. You act on impulse, hitting him across the face, especially after that smile. You hated it. It always made you angry. It probably wasn’t a good idea to hit him, but you weren’t thinking

he stares at you, holding his cheek, his eyes wide, he didn’t know how to feel or what to do at the moment
