Douma was just talking to you/annoying you, as you would say, before he had then suddenly gotten an idea.

"Hmm~ Akaza, could we hold hands?~" Douma asked you, as he held his hand out.

"No." You said coldly in response. Douma looked sad, and then brought his hand away. Around 20 seconds later, Douma then looked at your hand, and had seen you hold his hand.

Douma had warm hands and you had cold hands. Douma felt much happier now.
