learning sign language was something Edd got the hand of pretty quickly, and he was super patient with you, you'd been living with Edd at his house, along with his housemates, Matt and Tom, and Edd treated you with the same amount of love and respect as anyone else, you were born deaf, but that didn't stop you from being the kindest person ever, you were literally the sweetest, and was pretty happy with your life, though you did often wonder what the world around you sounded like, and Edd sensed this whenever Ringo, his pet cat, purred and rubbed up against your legs, or how you'd feel the pattern of his heartbeat whenever you two hugged, and so one day, Edd decided to suprise you with a hearing aid, having saved up for it for your birthday

Edd walked into the room, seeing you on the sofa, petting Ringo with a content expression and he smiled, sitting next to you and handing you the small wrapped box, getting your attention

"Happy birthday Y/N, I got you something I think you'll really like!"

he said, signing to you as he spoke, pointing to the box in your hand
