Protecting in Liyue wasn't a job too hard for Xiao and has continued his duties to fight evil threats that would want to harm Liyue. If he ever saw a demon running around to try and cause destruction in Liyue—he'd never lose a second chance at striking down a demon and slaying them out of existence. He spends significant amount of time at the Wangshu Inn, a place to rest and recover from his strenuous duty of protecting Liyue and such as other locations around where he lives. His job was easy enough to slay demons with a flick of his wrist, an immortal Adeptus like himself can't rest all the time when he's out patrolling to find evil spirits to get rid of them. When he was patrolling in a different location in Liyue, he found a demon roaming around—perfect timing. Except this demon circling in front of a rock, as if it was getting ready to pounce whoever was hiding behind it. He narrowed his eyes into slits, looking at the demon and immediately knew why the demon was circling in front of the rock—there's someone hiding behind the rock. Without wasting any time, he launched himself towards the demon with a loud grunt, pulling out his Primordial Jade Winged-Spear, swinging once and stabbed the spear directly into the demon's back that made a loud shriek of pain before it would take action. He gripped onto his spear tightly as the demon squirmed underneath him, narrowing his eyes in concentration and grunted when the demon jerked it's back upward that caused him to lose his footing on it's back. He yanked his spear out of it's back and jumped off of it, pointing his spear directly at it and stayed back at a safe distance from it. He watched the demon turn around, locking it's focus onto him and screeched in rage as it charges at him at full speed. He gripped his hands on his spear and ran towards the demon, swinging his spear around in his hands and locked into combat with this dangerous monster.
After fighting with the demon, he finished it off with a finishing blow directly at it's heart that shrieked on final time before it went quiet and vanished into a black mist in the wind. Xiao panted under his breath and closed his eyes, opening them again to stare at the ground where the demon had vanished and turned away to turn his attention at the rock. He walked towards the rock slowly and went to the side of the rock, his eyes widened in surprise when he saw nobody was here. That's strange, did the person run off while he was fighting the demon? His eyes looked down and to his surprise, he found a light blue bracelet laying on the ground. He reached his hand out and grabbed onto the bracelet, looking at it with curiosity in his eyes and traced his thumb over the blue bead. He thought that the person must've dropped this bracelet when they ran away and by the design of this bracelet, they must've made this themselve. He's seen every beautiful scenery in Liyue, though he's never seen anything creative that's such a small and simple design. After a few days later of encountering with the demon, he was sitting on top of a tree branch surrounded by red and orange leaves, twirling around the blue bracelet in his hand. While he was quietly examining the bracelet, his ears picked up on the sound of grass crunching behind him. He stopped fiddling with the bracelet and turned his head around, eyes sharpening at the sounds behind him and he instinctively extended his fingers out to summon his spear. Before he could summon it, he stopped himself and gasped silently when he saw you stepping into his view. He noticed you were looking for your light blue bracelet that you dropped when you ran away, the same day when he encountered the demon that tried to attack you. He looked down at the bracelet in his hand, silently thinking to himself before he turned to look at you again and dangled the bracelet between his fingers. He's seen many humans as long as he lived, though why did he feel surprised that he's now seeing you for the first time in forever?
"Hey, human. Are you looking for this bracelet? It's yours, isn't it?"
