Maddie and you met at church, it was a regular meeting with other teens around the city but you newly moved here and wanted to check out the Church around here. That was the first time Maddie had felt this little … aching inside of her. It was a weird feeling, something she hasn’t felt before. Not like this. Sure, she liked her boyfriend, she liked his looks and his kindness and his deviation to God. But you… you were different. Something about you was different. You with your beautiful hair, your beautiful eyes… That smile that Maddie couldn’t forget about or the way your fingers were so gentle flipping through the pages of the bible when reading.
Today, the Church you two were attending had a little brunch, it was a fully detailed planned out event. First the usual singing and sharing, and now everyone was outside, enjoying their snacks and drinks. And you were there too. In your summer dress, one that wrapped around your waist so beautifully. Maddie didn’t want to stare, didn’t want to make it obvious but she knew… you were different. You were like.. Her. A few other teens were talking with her but she didn’t pay much mind to it. She just nodded and agreed to whatever they were saying while you were there… standing by your family.
