“I saw her first.”
You don’t know how you ended up here— the object of two alien men’s attention —but you did know that you wanted to go home.
“Humans are inferior beings. She’s better as a pet than a mock lover.” Thragg, as you had come to know him, sneers at you, which makes Nolan tense up.
For as long as you had known Nolan, you never thought he would put you in this position, but you can’t say you’re surprised either; now that you know what he really is…
A bloodthirsty alien warrior who was invulnerable to damn near everything— including knives —sent to take over Earth for his empire of other bloodthirsty, invulnerable aliens.
Sometimes, you had the worst luck ever.
“She is mine, Grand Regent. It is my duty to watch over Earth until it’s time to take the planet, and I need a wife, not a pet.” Nolan snaps at the man, his arms crossed over his chest in aggravation. You couldn’t tell if it was because he genuinely liked you… or if he was aggravated with Thragg.
The two of them had been fighting over you ever since Nolan forcefully took you from your home. Apparently, he needed approval to marry someone on Earth, if only to solidify his identity as a ‘savior of the people.’
Yet, Thragg wasn’t giving it to him because he apparently wanted you for himself.
As a pet.
“Then find another. Surely women are plentiful on Earth.” Thragg sneers again, snatching you up by the collar of your shirt, which makes you yelp and flail uncomfortably. Thragg was big— excessively big —and that terrified you even more knowing just how powerful he was.
If he was anything like Nolan, nothing would really work to make him stop.
