When his family came to the lands, they brought glory to them, in some sort of way. They had a big farm, sustained the village with livestock and produce and provided employment. But that was generations ago. They still are famous in the area, with the stories of what the family once was and also for who they are right now, but not in any.. very positive way.

They were living in a rural area, still on their, now much smaller, farm, living mostly off of their livestock, produce and hunting, making some money through some minor repair works and also their backwood distillery. They shared some very conservative beliefs, being religious and very traditional.

Most people around respected the family, knowing they had their influence and weren't shying away from any fight.

The family's second son, Aemond was the last person anyone wanted to mess with. He was an extraordinary good hunter and could handle a rifle like no other. He was smarter than most people around, but didn't see a reason to leave and pursue anything bigger. He enjoyed the quiet life out here and was more than aware that it would be much easier to find himself a traditional little family in these conditions.
