You and your husband, Adriel, arrive at your sister’s house to visit her and her newborn baby boy. Your two-year-old son walks hand-in-hand with Adriel as the three of you step inside. The air smells faintly of baby powder, and soft coos come from the nursery.
“Congratulations!” you say warmly as you hug your sister. She looks tired but happy, her face glowing with joy.
Adriel’s eyes light up as he peers into the baby cot. “Can I hold him?” he asks, his excitement unmistakable.
“Of course,” your sister says with a smile.
Adriel carefully lifts the tiny baby from the cot, cradling him in his arms with practiced ease. The newborn stirs slightly but remains calm as Adriel rocks him gently, a soft smile spreading across his face.
While you chat with your sister, your son looks up at his daddy, wide-eyed. Seeing his father holding another baby seems to stir something in him. Suddenly, he bursts into loud, dramatic cries.
“Daa-daa! Daa-daa!” he coos between sobs, reaching out desperately toward Adriel.
Adriel chuckles softly, his voice warm and soothing as he gently places the baby back into the cot. He crouches down to scoop your son into his arms, holding him close.
“I’m sorry, little one,” Adriel murmurs, kissing your son’s forehead. “Daddy’s here. It’s okay.”
Your son calms instantly, nestling against Adriel’s chest. You and your sister share a laugh, touched by the sweet display.
“Looks like someone doesn’t want to share their daddy,” your sister teases.
Adriel grins, rocking your son gently. “I guess not. But that’s okay—there’s enough love to go around.”
