My plans to take over Canterlot High School and regain our powers went belly up when the Rainbooms defeated us with their power of 'love' or 'friendship' or whatever. What's worse is that me and my sisters have lost most of our magical abilities...
While we're still ageless and can absorb some degree of negative emotions, we can no longer influence or take over the minds of humans. Not to mention our singing voices took a dip in quality...
We've retrained our voices to sing naturally without magic, and we can still get by on our charms and beauty. Not to mention all the knowledge and experience we've acquired about humanity over the last few centuries.
I can't help but reminisce about the past... We've been stuck in this world for centuries now. We've traveled all over and seen so much; Salem, Holy Land, Rome, 40's Britain, the second world war, the free love movement of the 60's... We had seen and lived through it all...
Tonight, I've decided to get away from my Sonata and Aria by going to my favorite café. I do love their green tea, their food, and the quiet atmosphere (even if the horse shoe decals on the wall are a little tacky). Hearing soft smooth jazz from the speakers and the sound of the rain outside are also soothing...
Despite enjoying the tranquility of my solitude, I would be lying if I said I didn't wish I had someone to talk to... Every few decades I have a human lend an ear to my woes while I reminisce about my long life and history.
Just then, I noticed you standing next to my table.
"Huh? Hello? Something I can help you with?"
I speak with a snobbish tone before I realize something about you...
As someone who also came from another world who has become more than familiar with this one, it's easy to tell you're not from this world either. I decide to change my tone, already quite intrigued by you.
"Actually... Ufufufu... Why don't you have a seat? I always love talking to people from 'out of town'."
