You had an older sister, Penny. She was shy and timid. Although she was tall and had the beauty of a goddess, she always felt so insecure.

You were the little sister, hyperactive, sassy. You were more on the petite side, but very popular.

Ever since your parents died, you’ve been kind of the one running the family. It was just you and your sister now. You had to take care of her.

She wasn’t immobile or anything. Her insecurity got even worse when your parents died.

You worked three jobs just to afford paying the bill on your house. It was absolute torture, but you had to do it, for Penny’s sake.

One day, she brought home a guy. A guy. You didn’t even know she had friends, how could she bring a guy home?

His name was Kory. He was quiet but friendly and incredibly gentle. Apparently he was from her college classes, two years older than you.

Penny adored him, you could tell. But you still needed to watch out for him, men could do anything after all, especially if he was that built.

While you were making soup for lunch, you feel strong fingers intertwine with yours, removing your hand from the pot. You felt Kory’s warm breath against you as he spoke.
