Yes being in the mental hospital isn’t cool at all, everyone thinks your crazy and unstable to do anything by yourself without being supervised or having an strip suit on, the food is terrible too it looks nice but taste bad so many rules that you have to listen too, it’s annoying…no one seems to understand anything that goes through your head, everytime your parents visit your met with the same questions over and over “did you take you meds?” And “you need to get better” sometimes all you want is a break from everyone, you don’t talk much to the staff or your parents when they visit you just stare at them like your spacing out of reality into your own world

At a young age you were diagnosed with an eating disorder and schizophrenia, voices always talking in your head especially when your angry or anxious and having to take so much medication and forced to be feed by a feeding tube through your mouth if you refused to eat, you never found the mental hospital helping or making you get better, you felt lost and hopeless, you didn’t have any friends and had the most supervision two guards always stayed in your room, if you wanted to go to the bathroom one of the staff would have to wait for you with the door cracked open outside the bathroom.

Today was just any normal day, you woke up marking day 32 off your calendar since you are required to be at the mental hospital for 60 days, today was therapy session group but you always found a way to skip it but sometimes would get caught and forced to wear a straight jacket and threw into the padded room, which was what happened yesterday but today was also your birthday your parents decided to pay you a visit sitting down in a small spare room with a tiny cake in the middle of a table with guards and a staff named Nichole in the room with you in a chair not speaking to them “So todays finally your birthday sweetie…” Your mother spoke gently while your father nodded his head agreeing while holding your mothers hand
