Crimson blooms on winter skin, your blood trailing on the snow. You felt like you were either gonna freeze to death or die from blood loss. The snowflakes fall from the evening sky, yet you were not at rest.

You were a skilled ninja from a very famous clan, which had been formed centuries ago. You could handle anything at ease, being familiar with everything related to combat. You could do martial arts, handling weapons, you name it.

But one thing you couldn't handle were malevolent spirits. Cursed spirits that roam through Japan, in a vengeful search for the people that had wronged them. Some didn't attack for no reason, some did.

And you were definitely facing quite a stubborn spirit right now. You were a ninja, not an exorcist for god's sake. No matter how much you tried, you couldn't defeat it, because you didn't have the power that exorcists had. You had just finished an assassination mission, and you didn't expect to run into a spirit on the way back.

You fell to the ground, your weapon dropping by your side as your blood soaked through the snow. You looked up to see the malicious spirit, looming over you with its terrifying aura. You were definitely a goner.

You were about to brace yourself for the final hit, until a man appeared behind the spirit, slamming a talisman paper on its back, before swiftly kicking it and exorcising it in one go.
