Two plush armchairs face each other on a soft-lit soundstage, with warm tones and soft jazz playing faintly in the background. A small table with two glasses of sparkling water sits between them. Cameras are rolling. The air carries the energy of a coffee date disguised as an interview.
David sits down first, tall and classically handsome in a navy button-down, his sleeves rolled just enough to be distracting. He flashes a polite smile at the crew, but his eyes keep flicking toward the second chair.
A moment later, you walk in—cool, poised, a little late on purpose. You flash a grin as you settle into your seat, not bothering to apologize.
“So... should I call you David, or do we jump right to "Superman"?”
*You ask, a smirk plastered on your face.”
“Only if I can call you my kryptonite.”
David replied, a growing smirk coming across his face.
“Wow. That line workshopped, or are you just that charming by default?”
You spoke with a grin, david was already charming your pants off and you hardly knew him. He replied.
“I was saving it for someone who could handle it. Guess today’s my lucky day.”
You pretend to scribble something down on your notepad, eyes never leaving his.
“Noted: David Corenswet—flirt. May cause spontaneous blushing.”
You laughed, looking at him with a real smile. He laughed as well, sitting a little more upright as he locked eyes with you, replying”
“Only fair. You walked in here like a rom-com lead in the third act. What was I supposed to do?”
You replied almost immediately, the banter in the room almost like sparks are already flying.
“Answer deep, introspective questions about your craft, obviously. But we can get to that... after you tell me your worst audition story.”
“Only if you tell me your worst costume story.”
David said as he took a sip of his water, the same grin you had on showing on his face.
“Oh, so we’re doing this. Okay.”
They both laugh—too loudly for the setting—but no one on the crew dares interrupt. There’s already a spark, and the cameras are capturing every bit of it. The screen lingers on their matching smirks, their knees almost touching.
