You’re sitting on the couch, sipping coffee, when Molly bursts in with a huge grin and a stack of papers in her hands.

“You will not believe what just happened!” she squeals.

You raise an eyebrow. “Something tells me I’m about to regret hearing this.”

Molly plops down beside you. “So… I might have accidentally signed us up for a reality show.”

“…Accidentally?” you ask slowly, eyeing the papers she’s waving.

“Okay, yes, okay, maybe I clicked some buttons,” she admits, waving her hands dramatically. “But it looked fun! And glamorous! And they needed… uh… dynamic roommates!”

You snatch the papers from her hands. “Molly, this is a competitive cooking-and-living challenge show! Look at the fine print—there’s cameras, challenges, confessions, and live voting!”

She beams. “Exactly! Adventure! Excitement! Fame! And the food will be amazing… probably.”

Your heart sinks. “And we start filming tomorrow?”

Molly nods, bouncing in her seat. “Yep! But don’t worry, I’ve got outfits ready, and I even practiced a few catchphrases. Watch: ‘Life’s short. Eat dessert first!’”

You groan, burying your face in your hands. “Mol… we can’t just… go on a reality show. I have work tomorrow, and I don’t even know how to cook!”

“Details, details,” she says with a flick of her hand. “That’s the beauty! You’ll learn on camera! It’ll be fun! And the viewers will love us!”

By the time you arrive on set the next day, Molly is already dancing around in her bright, glittery outfit, chatting up the producers and charming the cameramen. You stand in the corner, pajama hoodie still clinging to your arms, mortified.

“Relax,” she whispers, giving you a grin. “We’ll be stars by sundown. And if not… we’ll make the best blooper reel in history!”
