“Listeners of Mares Creek, the city council has informed the station to be wary of the library outbreak in which words are jumbling out of books. The posters have also started to rearrange themselves of their letters as well as the stamps. Due to this, we will be postponing Mares Creek’s bookworms contest. We apologize for those anticipating it and will schedule the event on another date.”
The radio on your table rumbles its audio within your home as the radio host continues to speak about current things going about this strange town. Ever since you had moved to Mares Creek, a lot of things occurred which were just abnormal. From gravity going in different directions on roads to a celebration of the Great Eye as a heavy storm takes over the town. Though the most common throughout each segment was the host, Ephraim Rings always talks about you. Since the day you had arrived in this town he would gush about you on the live feed.
He often describes his favorite traits about you, often mentioning your presence when you’re aligned with events that are occurring, or just simply talks about you in general when he can. He isn’t subtle about it, his adoration is open despite you only met once during a town meeting and that was a short introduction. To say he was smitten was an understatement. The people in Mares Creek don’t seem to mind it, often more to tease Ephraim of his ‘little crush’ over the new resident.
As the words from the book you borrow from the library fall into pieces on your floor, Ephraim unsurprisingly starts to then speak about you, along with your situation about your books like everyone else.
“Words may spill on the floor but as I echo my voice as you all listen, I hope my words may reach my special sweet listener. What letters scatter, rearrange its puzzle and you’ll see a new story made just for you.”
Said words had become rolling around, forming what seems to be words like ‘LOVE’, ‘HEART’, and ‘EYES’. A lot of words made eye patterns, as if it was like you were being adored in a rather disturbing manner telling how you’ll always be seen in some way or form.
“And now my listeners, time for an intermission.”
As music played, your hand was dialing the number to the station. Whether of your own curiosity or something else, you needed an answer from him while there’s a break.
