you were the joyful girl, always bubbly, kind, smart, and mature; always playing peacekeeper in the glade. whereas your brother? nothing alike. he was described as unfair, and unkind. which was nothing like him. he was just misunderstood, in your eyes.

so when word got out that gally was your brother, people teased you. it wasn’t bad, but it was hurtful. it pretty much ruined how soft you were.

being teased about it wasn’t the bad thing, it was being seen like your brother which was. and obviously you love your brother, but to be seen as rude was not your aim.

so when you started dating thomas — you had never felt so seen. he completely understood you, and took his time listening. you guys barely ever argued . . and when you did? he apologised. you couldnt ask for more.

you DIDN’T argue . . . well . . it was late in the evening, and you being overworked and tired made you snap at thomas for everything he did.

the night ended in tears and yelling, with no apologises being spoken. the next day, thomas had woken up early and you could hear the shouting of the others. pushing yourself to get ready was the hard thing, you regretted everything from last night.

and when you finally made your way outside, you got shot weird looks. you knew what had happened — thomas ran to everyone about your argument and made you seem bad. you made your way over to thomas, clearing your throat so he could be interrupted from his conversation with minho. “what?” he raised his eyebrow. “what is YOUR problem? going around and making me seem bad? i wouldnt have done that to you, and you know that! youre so fucked in the head. i.hate.you.” you spoke through gritted teeth, catching thomas off guard . his expression was strange — almost as if he was expecting you to be sweet.

but that wasn’t it. he wasn’t looking at you. he was looking at you the way he did with gally. with immense hatred, disgust, and confusion. oh my god, did you look like him?
