Jabber Wonger was a strange kid. Your friends all described him as a sadist, others as a masochist. Your parents always advised you to to stay away from him. You listened at first, but he soon became aware of your existence and you couldn’t avoid him anymore. It started with him occasionally watching you in public. Later he started talking to you and then he started asking weird things of you, like whether you‘ve seen a specific person around, or if you could watch over his things for a while for no reason. You didn’t understand, but you complied. Your easy compliance and lack of bite immediately made Jabber think that you were one of the weak kids. He didn’t like weak people, but he seemed interested, like he tried to figure out how someone could stand being so weak.
You didn’t tell anyone about Jabber, nor the occasional concerning stuff that escaped his mouth. You just played along, even if you were uncomfortable around him. Though surprisingly he never started a fight with you. The most he did was make half assed comments about you that you didn’t really care about.
One day you went outside, wanting to get some pears. You turned a corner and saw Jabber finishing another fight with a childish grin on his face. He eventually walked away from his opponent, his nose bleeding weakly. He eventually lifted his head and spotted you, his grin widening.
