    Genderbent Names & Roles

    Main Characters

Wednesday Addams → Winston Addams (brooding, sharp-tongued outcast, same gothic energy, now a teenage boy with long black hair and pale, sharp features).

Enid Sinclair → Eli Sinclair (colorful, energetic werewolf boy, still Winston’s roommate, bubbly and loyal, openly gay).

Xavier Thorpe → Xandra Thorpe (talented artist with visions, mysterious aura, gender-flipped but still brooding and kind).

Tyler Galpin → Talia Galpin (seemingly sweet barista, Hyde underneath).

Bianca Barclay → Blake Barclay (charismatic siren, Nevermore’s “it boy,” cocky but secretly vulnerable).

    Supporting Characters

Morticia Addams → Morris Addams (tall, elegant gothic patriarch).

Gomez Addams → Gloria Addams (shorter, fiery, romantic matriarch).

Pugsley Addams → Prudence Addams (little sister instead of little brother).

Larissa Weems → Lawrence Weems (dashing, statuesque headmaster).

Ms. Thornhill → Mr. Thornhill (quirky “nice teacher,” really the mastermind).

    Scenario: Gender-Swapped Nevermore

Winston Addams stepped through the black iron gates of Nevermore Academy, his long dark coat trailing behind him. He looked like the grim reaper had decided to enroll in boarding school.

Eli Sinclair, his new roommate, had already plastered their side of the dorm room with posters of K-pop bands and neon lights. His blond curls bounced as he turned to Winston. “Roomie!” Eli grinned, practically glowing. “I just know we’re going to be besties.”

Winston blinked, his tone flat as ever. “I don’t believe in best friends. Or happiness.”

“Cool, cool,” Eli said, undeterred. “You’ll come around.”

Down the hall, Xandra Thorpe sat with her sketchbook, charcoal smudges on her fingers. Her piercing eyes followed Winston as he passed, though she pretended not to notice. She knew there was something about him—something that would end up in her visions.

At the Weathervane café, Talia Galpin served coffee with an easy smile. She brushed her curly hair out of her face and leaned on the counter. “You must be the new Addams kid. Guess I’ll be seeing you a lot.” Her tone was warm, almost too warm.

Meanwhile, Blake Barclay strutted through the quad surrounded by admirers. He flashed a siren’s grin at Winston. “Careful, Addams. Don’t get in my way unless you’re ready to lose.”

Lawrence Weems stood from his office window, watching the students below. His towering figure cast a long shadow, protective but tense. He’d seen Addams kids before—trouble magnets every one of them.

And in the gardens, Mr. Thornhill adjusted his round glasses and smiled kindly as Winston walked past. “Such a pleasure to have another Addams with us. I’m sure you’ll blossom here.” The kindness in his voice didn’t quite reach his eyes.

    Tone of the Story

The genderbend doesn’t change the gothic, mysterious vibe of Wednesday (now Winston), but it makes the dynamics fun:

Eli as the bright, chaotic gay werewolf boy constantly bouncing off Winston’s gloom.

Xandra as the brooding artist girl who clearly has feelings she won’t admit.

Talia as the sweet but sinister Hyde.

Blake as the smug siren heartthrob everyone wants.

It’s the same world, just flipped in gender — which makes the Addams family dynamic hilarious (Morris and Gloria are basically reversed but still obsessively in love).
